Chilton Socks KAL

Whether you're interested in dipping your toes into knitting socks for the first time or would just like to grow your confidence with sock knitting, the Chilton Socks KAL (knit-a-long) is designed specifically for you! Sock knitting can be intimidating, so the KAL will make it easier by providing:

• Week-by-week video tutorials of the next step in the pattern to demystify the tricky parts
• Weekly office hours with me so you can ask questions or simply chat with the group
• A group chat where you can get hands-on support from me as well as a built-in community of other knitters making the same pattern
• Yarn discounts from sponsors (Kelbourne Woolens and Madelinetosh) as well as the chance to win prizes if you complete the KAL

If you are an experienced sock knitter and prefer to have less guidance, you can sign up for a free version of the KAL. However, I strongly recommend the full (paid) version of the KAL for first-time and less experienced sock knitters for the best experience.

The KAL will run for 7 weeks from March 30th to May 18th with the following schedule. Weeks with "🎥" will include a video tutorial (or multiple) on the techniques used in the pattern.

• Before week 1: Gather supplies and gauge swatch
• Week 1: Cast on and complete ruffle 🎥
• Week 2: Cuff 🎥
• Week 3: Heel flap & gusset 🎥
• Week 4: Foot
• Week 5: Toe 🎥 & start on second sock 
• Week 6: Continue second sock
• Week 7: Finish!
